Assoc. Prof. Gentian Stroni graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tirana in 1993. During the period 2002-2006, he completed his specialization in Infectious Diseases and subsequently a Master of Science (MSc) in Medicine, defending the thesis "HIV-AIDS in different population groups." In the years 2011-2016, he pursued and defended his Doctorate in Medicine with the topic: Foodborne Toxi-infections. Assoc. Prof. Gentian Stroni received the title of "Associate Professor" in 2021. His research and scientific fields are: Infectious Diseases, focusing on various viruses and HIV-AIDS; Foodborne toxi-infections; various Infectious Pathologies. Since 2002, he has practiced his profession as a Specialist in Infectious Diseases at the "Mother Teresa" University Hospital Center. Since 2004, he has been a Lecturer at the University of Medicine, Tirana, where he has held positions such as Vice Dean, Head of Department, Member of the Academic Senate of the University of Medicine, Chairman of the Professors' Commission for awarding Doctorates, etc.
